How do I register at Project4hire?


To register at Project4Hire, click on the Join link at the top right corner of each page.
It is free to register at Project4Hire. Register as a Client if you are looking to hire someone for a project. Register as a Freelancer if you are looking for work.

I never received my activation email. Where is it?


Please check your Junk, Bulk or Spam folder if you can't find our activation email in your inbox. Also, please add our email address 'Do-Not-Reply@project4hire.com' to your whitelist or your email address book to ensure that you receive our emails to your inbox.

What fees does that Project4Hire charge?


It is free to sign up at Project4Hire, post projects and bid on projects. However, some optional project listing enhancement features require some fees. Also, if you are registered as a Standard Freelancer, you must pay a $5 fee to accept a project that is awarded to you. If you are registered as a Premium Freelancer, then there is no fee to accept a project.

How do I update my registration information?


To update your registration information, please log in and then click on the Account link at the top right of the page. Then, on 'My Account' page, click on Personal Profile link.

How do I cancel my account?


To cancel your account, please log on and then click on the Account link at the top right of the page. Then, on 'My Account' page, click on the Terminate Account link to request to have your account closed. Please allow up to 10 days for an administrator to review your request and close your account. Please note that once your account is terminated, we will not be able to re-open it or retrieve any information from your account.

Client Topics > I posted a project but can't find it on the site. Where is it?


There are several reasons why a project that you just posted isn't visible in the marketplace. The reasons could be one or more of the following:
1. Your project is pending moderation, and will visible in the marketplace after a Project4Hire moderator has approved it.
2. You have included in your listing some enhancement features that require fees. The project will be visible in the marketplace after the fees have been paid.
3. You saved your project as draft.
4. Your project has expired.
5. Your project was removed by Project4Hire Staff.
Log on and click on the My Projects link at the top right of the page. Navigate each tab on 'My Projects' page and look for your project there.

To cancel a project, please log on and click on the 'My Projects' link at the top of the page. On the right, next to each listing, there is a check box. Check the project that you would like to cancel. Then, use the drop-down box on the bottom of the listings and choose 'Cancel listings'.

How do I communicate with the freelancers?


You can communicate with a freelancer by going to the freelancer's profile page and clicking on the 'Contact member'. Alternately, you can go to your job listing and click on the 'Contact This Member' link next to each bid that you have received. Please note that you can only contact freelancer who have posted a bid on your job/project.

How do I award the project to a freelancer?


To award a project to a freelancer, please log on and click on the 'My Projects' link at the top of the page. Click on the 'Active' tab to view your jobs that are still open. Click on the 'Ended' tab to view your jobs that have ended.
There are two ways to select a bid and award the job to a freelancer:
(a) you can click on the bids link next to the title of your job. Then, click on the 'Bids' tab to see all the bids that you have received. You'll also see buttons to 'Accept' the bid, or 'Decline' the bid.
(b) you can click on the title of your job to view your listing. Then, as you hover your mouse pointer on each bid, you will see buttons to 'Shortlist' the bid, 'Hire' the freelancer, or 'Decline' the bid.

What is the SafePay Escrow Service & how does it work?


Project4Hire offers an escrow service called SafePay that clients can optionally choose to pay freelancers. A client typically deposits funds in the amount of the winning bid after a freelancer is selected and accepts the project. The freelancer can see that the project is fully funded but can not withdraw the funds until they are released by the client at the completion of the project. This protects both the client and the freelancer, as the client knows that the funds can not be withdrawn without his/her approval and the freelancer knows that the client has the necessary funds to pay him or her at the completion of the project. In case of dispute, the client and/or the freelancer may contact Project4Hire and request arbitration.
There is a $10 fee charged to the client to use the SafePay Escrow Service.

How do I check a freelancer's profile/portfolio?


You can view each freelancer's profile by clicking on the freelancer's name. For the profile page, you can view the freelancer's portfolio by clicking on the Portfolio tab. From your job listing page, you can view the profile or portfolio page of each freelancer who has placed on a bid on your job by clicking on the Profile or Portfolio link under each bid row.

What is Basic Freelance Membership?


A Basic Freelance Membership is the free freelance membership that Project4Hire offers.
You can bid for free on projects but you cannot add comments to your bids.
You cannot send messages to clients or ask questions on the project pages.
If you are awarded a project, you must a $5.00 fee before you can accept and begin working on the project.

What is Premium Freelance Membership?


A Premium Freelance Membership is the paid freelance membership that Project4Hire offers.
You can bid for free on project and add comments to your bids.
You can send messages to clients to whose projects who bidded on, and also ask questions on the project pages.
You can accept any projects you are awarded for free.
The cost of the Premium Freelance Membership is $10/month.

How do I change my Freelance Membership?


To upgrade or downgrade your Freelance Membership, please log on and click on 'My Account' link at the top of the page. Next, under the 'Personal Information' section, click on 'My Membership Manager'.
'My Membership Manager' page will allow you to upgrade to Premium Freelancer Membership, or downgrade to Basic Freelancer Membership.
