Let me tell you a little about her idea. 
Creating specialsitters.com would assist parents and guardians in locating sitters that can cater to special needs children and or adults. Krystle is a mother of a 3 year old son who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last year, a normal baby sitter would not be able to accommodate the necessary needs  that a child with diabetes has. So in comes specialsitters, parents like Krystle will be able to login to the website, and for a low 1 time or yearly fee they can search through the thousands of special sitters local to their zip code. And able to view their bio, certifications, hours available, price range and more... 
  
She has stated that she is not in this for the money, the only reason she is going to charge a low fee for the parents is so she can donate the profits to a different charity each year. For example (The Diabetes Youth Foundation) or (The Cure for Cancer)  


  
The site is not only for diabetes, but she wants it to be able to assist parents with any kind of special needs child. And that's why she came up with the slogan 
  
"If your child has special needs, or if you have special needs for your child" 
  
She doesn't want to focus on any certain disease, and eventually after the special children sitting takes off, she would like to be able to add in there.

So here is what the site coding needs to have in place. 
  
1.       2 different sets of registration and logins 
a.       Sitters (free registration and profile) 
b.      Parents (small fee registration) 
Anyone should be able to search on the main page using their zip code and it will generate how many sitters are in there area, but without showing their pictures, names etc.. Just city and/or specialties "Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Other special needs". 
  
2.       The sitters should be able to register, login and enter their profile information. 
a.       Add a picture (recommended) 
b.      List their qualifications and experience 
c.       Checkbox the hours they are available during the week 
d.      Enter their education level 
e.      Enter certificates held 
f.        Location is a must (Zip code) 
g.       Hourly rate 
h.      Inbox for communication with parents/guardians 
i.         Comments and notes 
j.        Would like to add more if needed through admin panel 
  
3.       Parents should be able to register, login and. 
a.       Update their billing info (paypal or google checkout) 
b.      See the last 3 or 5 sitters they searched 
c.       Able to cancel their billing if they are on subscription (small link or separate page) 
d.      Check their inbox for the communication with the sitter 
  
4.       Administration access and Panel. 
a.       The administrator should have a very clean panel where they can edit the following 
b.      Change how much the charge is, example. Add monthly for $5.00 or Remove monthly and Add Yearly for $25.00 or keep both or delete both 
c.       Able to approve, add, remove, edit sitters and parents. 
d.      Able to add/remove testimonials to the testimonial page and main page 
e.      Able to add different types of sitting similar to (sittercity.com) at the top there are tabs, 1 should say Special Needs, Pet Sitting, House Sitting. 
i.      If not able to, the it's not a big deal. But down the road we would want the option to add/remove that. 
f.        Able to change, terms of service, about us, privacy policy. 
g.       Able to add new content to the press page (if we get listed in the press) 
h.      Sitemap should auto generate if new page is added, or we can add in admin panel to update the sitemap. 
i.         Able to add/remove edit Parent Tips etc...

We need the site to rival these two other sitter portals.
