Create a software program to be run on PC, MAC or other operating system.
The TView software will be written in C# and compiled using Microsoft Visual C# Express 2008, and should not use any library that requires license fees. For data plotting, the Zedgraph toolkit should be utilized (zedgraph.org). This will minimize bugs, maximize flexibility, and minimize future maintenance. No deprecated toolkits or interfaces should be used.
Code will be clean, written with names reflecting purpose, and comments will be placed to make it easier for future programmers to interpret and edit code. Conditional code, object data exposure, and repeated data and function should be avoided. Unit tests will be written for all classes specific to the TView software to test all functionality. Integration spot tests should be written where it is reasonable to do so for sanity checking to make sure code compiles and runs at some base level. All tests should be run during the build process to ensure no known functionality is broken. As code evolves, unit and integration tests should be updated to reflect and verify changing functionality. Unit tests should be written in such a way to provide a guide to future programmer to use the classes implemented for the TView software. Repositories will be created for all code to ensure that past changes are recorded.
