This is an updated version of the project I posted a week or so ago. I have taken the time to list some specific wants for the site. It seems like it will be a fairly simple php build with a good interface.
I would like to create a free tracking site for user created GeoCoins, TravelBugs, etc... (look at the information under GeoCoins, and Travel Bugs found at www.geocaching.com/track/. You can get a good idea of what is out there right now. However i want a MUCH better user interface than these two sites...)
I would like to work with someone who knows about geocaching if possible!
I envision having a site where people can register, get a tracking code that they then put on an item. Whenever the code is entered into the site people can write in the log, identify the location of the cache where it was found, etc... i would like to have a map that graphs the items movement, etc... It would be nice if users could enter the cache code, and have it pull info from some of the major goecaching sites (but we will have to look at their site structures to see if that is possible. After initial site is running, i would like to create widgets, for various widely used blogs, that show items locations, etc...
I would consider paying for this, or doing it as a JV. (if a JV i will handle all of the promotion, advertising, etc...)
