We have a dedicated windows 2000 server.
1) Can you create a tube type video site for us.
2) This will be used for business to business videos.
3) There must be a search engine.
4) All videos will need to be uploaded with keywords/tags so they can be found by a search,
4 a)) and also under categoris.
5) The videos will be shown on the home page, with their description under the video. There will be four videos, from left to right, and they will be shown in columns, perhaps 10 deep, so 40 on each page.
6) When a video is uploaded it must go to a page where we can review it and the approve it.
6a) When uploaded the site should send an email to the person who uploaded it, confirming receipt, and copy to me.
6 b) When approved the person who uploaded the video should receive an email confirming their video is live.
7) We also need to be able to add clickable text at the bottom 10% of any or all videos form the sites admin page.
 We need google analytics working on the site so we can check traffic details - we may also wish you to add adwords.
9) We need a title, metatags h1 and h2, keywords on the home page and all category pages.
10) We need a way from the admin page to add new catagories, and new videos,
10 a) and a way to delete existing videos, individually, or by keywords or tags and categories.
11) and a way to ammend or change and keyword or tag for a video.
12) We would like to add a blog to the site and provide an rs feed so users can receive details whenever new products are added.
13) We would like to add a user name and password creation for users to sign up to receive emails whenever new videos are added, and this should be atomatic.
14) A site map needs to be added for the 3 main search engines.
15) Any other suggestions for this Tube video site for b2 b would be appreciated. We are happy to use existing code to create the site if you have that available.

Comment: You will also need a service and backend servers for video processing (converting uploaded videos to flash video) as well as a component that does the encoding. I have already done a site like this for San Bernardino Community College that is serving videos to all California district and some Texas district colleges. The site is called EduStream.org. In 2007 I was the recipient of "Innovation Award for Educational Applications" by The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) for this website. I would recommend putting this on Windows server 2003 at a minimum. |
