Database driven partially developed site - have several pages of design and programming [source] details. See separate files sent upon request [too large for attachment here] and hupago.com/
Programmer's option - finish site as developed to date or develop entirely new site that meets the following criteria:
1. Single column / dual column options. See hupago.com/
2. Integrated paid for vBulletin forum – forum integration with the site is essential – see below.
3. Three options for "contributors"
a. Local “location representative” [Loc rep] with advertising options. The loc rep is the driving force of the web site. Loc reps can upload content and images in either a dual or single column format. Loc reps can upload either their own existing web site content or generate new content using a WYSIWYG format built into the CMS. [If you have questions about the details of this option, please submit same to owner for elaboration.]
b. Writers [with tie-in to forum - in other words, visitors can take comments directly from writer's article to forum]
c. Bloggers [same as writers in b. above]
4. International classifieds similar to Craig’s list for each location.
5. RSS feed capabilities. Owner to vet RSS fed articles and then post in the appropriate section – travel or property or investment. Comments on the articles can then be taken to the forum for discussion.
6. The site should work with multiple languages. Translation ability available. Text size options available.
7. Mapping / map capability integration.
8. Print this [content] page options for pertinent pages.
9. Rotating banner and full page info-ads capabilities for both owner pages and contributing user pages.
10. Advertisers to be able to upload images and text in pre-set standard sizes. Advertisers to be able to choose length of contract – three – six and twelve month – and pay via PayPal.
11. Pay Pal integration – with future credit card expansion capabilities.
12. Graphics needs some upgrading.
13. Programmer - designer to upload site to owner's server for checking, testing, etc. Programmer to assist owner for a period of 30 days after completion to work out bugs and educate owner in site use. 60% payment when site uploaded, 40% when 30 day period is completed.
Please see additional files provided to give an overall idea of the scope of the project as seen by one programmer. File sizes are too large to attach. They will be sent via separate emails.
If you can not complete the project as envisioned by owner in a timely manner, please do not submit a bid. Potential bidders must provide references and examples of timely completed work. Any prospective programmer must be willing to sign a contract and confidentiality agreement.
I believe the data base is MySQL with PHP/Javascript.
Much of of the work has been done, at least conceptually, to provide a good idea of what is expected. I am willing to do what needs to be done to get the site completed as I envision.
Project Management arrangement to be agreed upon w/successful project completion if desired. Preference given to those with PM intent.
Although I have a fairly good idea of what my site will be and do, I encourage and value your input. Kindly follow up with any questions or any potential problems you may foresee.
