new generation website for Educating.net
1) New category does not appear in searches.
When we use the “create new category” function in the “admin” site, we are
able to upload a new Excel spreadsheet. This is wonderful. Unfortunately,
the new category does not appear in the window for results.
For instance, if you go to:
76.12.172.41/Category_Details.aspx?subcatid=21&categoryid=8
And click on “newspapers”, then all results disappear, even though we have
several listings in the newspaper category. We need to have the categories
appear in full when they are chosen.
2) Login
Eliminate the “login” feature. We want anyone to be able to use
Educating.net site without login. We attended a lecture on websites and
found that many internet users will bypass a site that requires “login”. Login will be optional and may be used at a later date for customers.
3) Friends and classmates
We want to be able to upload an Excel spreadsheet in the admin site to fill
up this “friends and classmates” section. We want to eliminate the feature
that allows users to enter their profile and search other people’s profiles.
Our expert advice claims that this feature significantly complicates our
website and makes it necessary to have daily admin patrolling for spam and
pornography.
4) Video conferencing
We need to have an Excel spreadsheet uploaded to this site. Remove the
graphics that currently complicate this section.

5) Shopping
We need access to this section of our website. We currently are unable to
enter or alter data on “shopping” from the admin panel.
6) Replace artwork on home page.
Replace the main right side moving animation of the globe.
Although this movie is very "cool" it must re-load each time someone changes
pages. Not worth the effort. Please replace this upper right hand moving
globe animation.
