It would be the basic dog simulation game
with petshop, pets, items, message boards, chat, private messages, training, showing, breeding, feeding,
vaccinations etc etc.
Players can pet purebred dogs from the pet shop and then the animlal would show up in their kennel
each animal has a set of randomly assigned "Stats" in the areas Head, Forequarters,Hindquarters, size, coat gait, speed, agility, intelligence, strength, endurance, ability, drive. Which are randomized from 0-100.
The dog's personal page will enclude it's name, breed age, and the items it's equiped with. which are the types: collar, leash, food bowl, and water bowl.
the player will be able to assign what to feed their dog from it's page, and push a button to fill the dog's bowl, which will be restet to empty each night.
water bowl has a refill button too.
Also note I already have a layout and item images etc etc for this. I originally planned to code it myself but I got as far as the dog pages and realized I don't have any idea of how to code items and feeding, breeding showing etc.
Other features include dogs being able to breed and produce offspring with 1-12 pups in a litter.
The way breeding works is each female dog over the age of 1 year (40 game days) will have a heat cycle every 3 weeks, they are in heat for 1 week, and out of heat for 3 weeks.
to bebred the female must be in heat and you choose a male you want tobreed her with, click "breed" and for the time of 1 week the female is "pregnant" they can't be vaccinated (players have to "vaccinate" dogs once a month, going to the vet and click a button to vaccinate which will change the value of the column vacinated in the database. Nothing complicated)
can't be shown, or trained, or sold. After that week is up a litter of a random size is created.(1-12)
When a litter is born they are listed in a seperate section of the kennel titled "litters"
which will show the pair that was bred the breed and age of the litter.
How showing works is you have to go to the "trainer" and pay an amount of money for him to train your dog in a sport type. These are:xxxxx
but not just any breed can be trained in any sport. Some are limited to specific breeds. Like lure coursing is only for sight hounds, and earthdog trials are only for terriers.
After your dog is trained in a sport type you can enter your dogs in a show of that sport type and they gain points toward titles. which vary depend on the sport you choose.
