Script for Art Community Listing Website
The Script would include the following functions:
1. The admin can add city pages to the website in an admin panel. These city pages would then display as sub domains (ex. chicago.artlistings.com).
2. Site users can input and submit listing information and an image to the site. They choose between regular or featured listings. They also will have the option to sign up for the newsletter.
3. The admin then can approve or change the information submitted and add it to the listing pages of the site. The added listings can be changed by the admin at any time in the admin panel.
4. The information added by the admin will be displayed in alphabetical lists by city and would have different categories to browse listings such as the type of organization or the type of artwork in each city.
6. The site's homepage would include a counter that displays how many people/organizations are listed on the site.
Notes:
- The admin can add a logo image to each city page. If no image is added, the name of the city will be displayed.
- The script does not have to verify any payments made for featured listings. This will be done manually by site management. So the "Featured" listing will only dictate where the listing will be show on the page.
- Example web pages will be available for reference during development to show how information should be displayed.
- If a user opts in to receive the newsletter, their name and email address will be added to a page in the admin panel.
