| Description: |
Need a very robust photo gallery with great search functionality for the client I'm working with. Provided samples are image-heavy small to medium business sites that properly represent how a client would navigate our images. I've been as detailed/specific as possible to a) determine the possibility of having all (or most) of these features and b) elaborate further on a per site basis should there be any questions. Please let me know if these mods are possible, and an approximate quote and realistic turnaround time for the project.
Photo Gallery & Site/Photo Search Specs
GENERAL
* boolean search ability (AND, OR, NOT)
* back button functionality; using the browser "back" button does not cause errors/lead to data loss
* save locations/favorites for client forever with a non-expiring cookie (unless user removes cookie themselves)
LOCATIONDEPARTMENT.COM (this site uses freefind.com to handle searches so that may be a better point of reference)
* space for links/notes at top of individual location pages and searchable terms within that section
* labeling/IDing individual photos with keywords to return proper search results
* "refine" search following initial search
* this search seems as if it will bring up all results containing any word -- i.e, a property type search could improperly return an unrelated page referencing a city/town with the same word, we'd like to be able to control this a bit better while not making it too rigid in case someone DOES need it (will elaborate further if there are any questions)

* preview of all locations with a single photo representing each location (as on smugmug); featured photo
* photos should remain in order they are put up; first photo will be always be the main thumbnail photo following a search

* drag to arrange individual photos & sections as necessary

* keyboard arrow-key response while browsing properties, + escape key to close
* lightbox to view larger photos
* portfolio for locations of client's choice, with return link to our pages (like a shopping cart)
* loading speed of photos and navigation is very good
* search by room returns precise room shot, link goes to entire property

* keywords/property type links that are clickable and direct to associated categories (we'd like this to work in a semi-boolean sense as well; meaning multiple keywords/property types could be clicked and search results reflect them accordingly)
* typing in/clicking a specific keyword like "kitchen" or "dock" will return exact photos of the room in question for quick viewing, rather than simply having a general link to property (the less work involved, the better)
ONTHEMARKLOCATIONS.COM
* geographic region filter
* portfolio for favorites for client is good, we would like ours remembered permanently or until client deletes browser cookies
* direct location search is good
* keyword listing (formatting automatically to boolean search) is good
* filtering is good
* ability to navigate behind popup window/lightbox is necessary (not possible on this site)
PROPERLOCATIONS.COM
* LIKE mouseover "request/share/favorites" in search results for quick clicking
* "share property" / "request info" / add to favorites is good
* loading time is too slow when using keyboard navigation (arrows left/right); scoutsource.com is faster & better - do not want flash, ajax w. preloading preferable?
* LIKE adjustment of lightbox according to photo size

* separation of rooms is good (clicking to see only interiors separates them accordingly)
